In 2013, soccer player, David Beckham announced that he would donate his entire salary to charity.
Did you hear about the little girl in Tampa, Florida who collected over $100.00 in pennies from friends and families and donated it to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay? What an amazing act of love for a child!
And then there’s the Roswell High School football team who recently expressed many acts of kindness to a 9-year old fan battling leukemia. Not only did they offer continued encouragement by sending cards and organizing fundraisers, but they also rallied together and named her their Homecoming Sweetheart! Now, that’s teamwork at its finest!
You don’t have to be famous or have a lot of money to assist those in need. In many cases, simply contributing your time can be the most worthy donation of all.
